A Plaque for Helen
Did you know Helen Creighton’s birthday is on September 5? It marks her 119th birthday and we’re celebrating!
On September 5, there will be a ceremony unveiling a plaque commemorating the national historic significance of Helen Creighton! On behalf of the Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, Darren Fisher, Member of Parliament for Dartmouth – Cole Harbour and the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada we would like to extend an invitation to you.

One birthday celebration? Nah, how about two!
On September 8, we will be hosting a birthday party at Evergreen House! You’re invited to Helen’s home to celebrate her special day! There will be cake, tea and entertainment inside, and games in the back garden! While you’re here, come check all the work that’s been done to Helen’s garden.
