Murder Mystery 2021
Murder Mystery 2021 Details:
When: October 15th and October 29th 6pm-9pm. Tea, water, and light snacks provided.
(For example: there may be a limited amount of cookies, small individual pastries, and others)
*Please note, due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, face masks will be mandatory for the event, and as a recreational event we will also need to see proof of full vaccination. This proof can be presented on the night of the event, before entering the building.*
Setting: The story is loosely set in 1921 (so let the 1920s inspire costume and dress!) You have answered a personals ad in the newspaper, calling for guests at an upcoming seance at the house of the mysterious Dr Evergreen. But there’s a storm rolling in, and things are never quite what they seem…
Other Details: There are exactly 17 tickets available for each evening. No refunds, and no exchanges for a different evening. Tickets are $60 per person (no tax). The story for each evening is the same, so we ask that you only purchase a ticket for ONE evening. We also ask that guests refrain from posting any details of the evening publicly or with anyone else who may attend a later event. Tickets go on sale on September 27th. If interest remains high, more dates may be added. Please note that the evening is scripted to include all characters, so any absences could affect the entire evening. If you are unsure about your ability to attend on a certain evening, please consider waiting to purchase your tickets until you are sure.
Guests will be assigned characters at random. Prior to the date you receive individual character packages. Each will include: A description of your character, their background, key motivations, and small tasks to complete throughout the evening. For example: “Slip the note provided in this package into the pocket of the murder victim while the body is still being examined” OR “Tell at least 4 other characters about your work, giving a different name for the company which employs you each time.” Packages should not be shared with others. Every character will have motivations for murder, and the true culprit will not be revealed until the night’s end.
For those wishing to play the Murder Mystery with friends, there will be limited availability to purchase an private evening for yourself and between 13-16 friends. The cost of the evening is $950, no HST. You will be provided with a small select choice of dates. All other details remain the same.
Tickets will be available for purchase through the online gift shop. Anyone having trouble navigating the online purchase can call the museum and we will do our very best to assist you.
